Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description:

  • Operate, drive, & control, safely and efficiently, large equipment and vehicles including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, tools etc.
  • Have complete knowledge of machine settings
  • Check and maintain equipment fluid levels and functionality
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Completing & submitting regular performance records
  • Ensuring federal and state safety laws are followed
  • Comply with CEPHAS NeXt’s safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct pre & post-trip evaluations of equipment
  • Make minor repairs and report issues for larger repairs
  • Ensure job sites are left clean-free of debris & trash
  • Manage time efficiently

Skills Needed:

Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an outside environment or in industrial building areas. There is exposure to high equipment noise, chemical fumes, and potential electric and machinery hazards. Field conditions outdoors are varying weather conditions, with varying low to high equipment noise; walking on changing ground surfaces; and there is some driving in various weather conditions.

Demolition Laborer

Job Description:

  • Perform various manual duties to tear down and remove unsound structures and building elements.
  • Clean up demolition and jobsite debris.
  • Remove debris and load into containers.
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and air tools.
  • Knowledge of safe and proper use of assigned equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
  • Adapt to weather conditions and work in hot and cold work environments.
  • Complete tasks while wearing a respirator and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Abide by company, state, and federal rules and safety regulations.

Skills Needed:

Abatement Worker

Job Description:

  • Assembles scaffolding and seals off the work area, using plastic sheeting and duct tape
  • Positions mobile decontamination unit or portable showers at the entrance of work area
  • Positions portable air evacuation and filtration system inside the work area
  • Cuts and scrapes asbestos, mold or paint from surfaces, using knife and scraper
  • Assists in demolition and deconstruction activities of buildings
  • Shovels asbestos, mold or paint into plastic disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape
  • Cleans work area of loose asbestos, mold or paint, using a vacuum, broom, and dustpan
  • Places asbestos, mold or paint in disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape, loads bags into a truck
  • Cleans and maintains tools, sampling equipment, and lab equipment
  • Responsible for keeping the site and grounds clean and neat
  • Performs daily equipment checks
  • Picks up necessary supplies and tools from the warehouse as directed
  • Loads and unloads scrap materials into trucks and roll off boxes
  • Performs work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures and operates equipment safely. Reports any unsafe work condition or practice to supervisor
  • Performs other related and non-related duties as assigned

Job Description:

  • Ensuring federal and state safety laws are followed
  • Making sure federal and state asbestos regulations are abided by
  • Participate in the training of newly hired employees: Following training guidelines and maintaining a well-trained team
  • Responsible for daily inventory of supplies and equipment on the jobsite
  • Responsible for managing asbestos projects by overseeing workers, equipment and supplies on the job site
  • Encouraging team morale and employee success by upholding company policies
  • Completing and submitting daily paperwork
  • Running required air samples and maintaining chain of custody
  • Frequent checks inside containment to maintain quality of work and ensuring project production is on time
  • Visual inspections of work after completion for quality and done in according to federal and state regulations
  • Driving company vehicles to and from job sites maintaining company vehicle cleanliness

Job Description:

  • Connect, disconnect and haul waste dumpsters to and from job sites
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
  • Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
  • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and in-house rules and regulations
  • Class A driver’s license in good standing
  • No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
  • No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
  • 2+ years’ commercial driving experience required
